With the presidential race coming to a close on Tuesday, we here at The Performer Blog are interested on where our readers stand. So, for this week’s Poll of the Week, we asked on Twitter:
“Who are/would you vote for in the 2016 Presidential Election?”
60 people voted on this week’s question. The four options were: Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Jill Stein, and Gary Johnson.
For the newspaper club staff, it was great to see so many students interested in the politics that keep the country running. The winner is clearly Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with 70% of the votes. That means 42 out of 60 of our voters choose her, an overwhelming majority. Republican candidate Donald Trump earned second place with 18% of the vote. Next was Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, who received 7% of the votes. Johnson was followed close behind by the Green party Candidate Jill Stein who was least popular with only 5%. Besides the final results, it is interesting to see that many students showed interest in the election, as well as showed that they are aware of and rooting or voting for a third-party candidate.
Thanks to all who cast their votes! Participate on Twitter (@performerblog) every Monday with a new Poll of the a Week question and see the results right here on the blog every Friday! Be sure to check back next week and those to come. Thank you for reading Charter Arts’ very own Performer Blog!
