Humans of Charter: Alaina

Alaina Karcher, 11th Grade, Literary Arts Major

“When my sister and I were younger, our mom bought us one of those fake kitchen sets. You know the one; cheap plastic wear, fake water faucet and stove. We loved preparing fake plastic food with it. Also, another thing to know about a younger version of my sister and me: we loved macaroni and cheese. Yep, you know where this is headed. One day, my sister had this brilliant idea to make macaroni and cheese with our beloved kitchen-ware. We filled water from Mom’s kitchen into our little pot and dumped an entire box of noodles into it. Let’s just say that Mom wasn’t pleased when she got home from work.”
