Poll of the Week: What’s your favorite part of the holiday season?

December is here, and we all know what that means… the holiday season is quickly approaching! There’s so much to do during and for the holidays, and we at The Performer wanted to know what your favorite is.  So, we turned to our followers on Twitter to get the details on the most popular holiday activity. This week’s Poll of the Week question was:

What’s your favorite part of the holiday season?

31 people voted. The four options were: Buying GiftsDecoratingHoliday Movies, and Cookies.

Holiday Movies won with 48% of the votes. With classic holiday movies such as Elf, A Christmas Story, and more, it’s no wonder why this option took the fruit cake. Cookies came in second with 20% of the votes. Cookies are an iconic part of the holiday season (hell0 Santa!); and whether you’re baking or eating them, holiday cookies are always something to look forward to. Only one percent behind cookies is Decorating with 19%! Since most students’ parents probably decorate from them, it’s not surprising that this option came in the bottom two. Regardless, seeing lights go up on houses in your neighborhood really makes it feel like the holiday season is here. In last place is Buying Gifts with only 13%. I think we can all agree that getting gifts is much more preferable to actually buying gifts, especially in this economy. A lot of stress can come with buying gifts as well, between long lines at stores and long lists of people to buy for! Nonetheless, be sure to enjoy the holiday season while it lasts.

Thanks to everyone who voted in this week’s Poll of the Week. Make sure to follow @performerblog on Twitter to participate in our weekly polls and get updates on our articles! Happy (early) holidays from The Performer!
