My Fave Five: Fall Crafts

Fall is finally upon us, and a great way to get into the festive spirit is with some seasonal crafts! Whether they are for a thanksgiving center piece, or purely for fun, these can be some fun things to do on a cold fall night!

#1- Yarn Pumpkins:

These pumpkins look complicated- but they are actually fairly simple to make! Here’s how:

All you need is yarn, glue, a balloon, and some pipe cleaners.

Begin by blowing up a balloon, and wrapping yarn all around it, as shown in the picture. Then coat the yarn very well with glue, and let it sit for a few hours. Next, just gently pop the balloon, and you are left with an interesting, yarn art. Add pipe cleaners to create a pumpkin!

#2- Fall Leaves Jar:

This craft is very simple: just coat the inside of a mason jar with mod podge, and place leaves on the inside of the jar. Add some battery powered twinkle lights and this can serve as a beautiful center piece at a thanksgiving table!

#3- Wood Slice Pumpkins:

These wood slices can be found at many craft stores, and all you need to do is paint it with some acrylic paint, and add a creative stem. It’s all up to you!

#4- Q-Tip Fall Tree Painting

This Q-tip idea seems like an easy and quick way to create a beautiful painting! Create a barren tree background, put some Q-tips in any color of choice, and create some leaves.

#5- Leaf Animals

Begin by finding some interesting leaf shapes that can be made into some cute animal faces, and press them (with something like a book) for a few days. After that, you can use some markers to create your animal! To add extra dimension, you can utilize some stitching.
